What does it mean to instill a growth mindset?
I need to remember this whenever I interface with kids, even adults, and now my own little son of infinite possibilities.
A growth mindset is when children believe that brains and talent are merely a starting point, and that abilities can be developed through hard work and continued intellectual risk-taking.
“Students focus on improvement instead of worrying about how smart they are and hungering for approval,” says Dweck. “They work hard to learn more and get smarter.”
