In the past weeks, I wanted to share the biggest needle-movers not only in health recovery but in optimizing your future health reserve.

I've shared about optimizing brain health, the importance of sleep in a healing regime, and got started on toxins and...

There's more about toxins!

...keep your eyes peeled, this topic will get increasingly important in our world today. In fact, we are beginning to see more practitioners specializing in toxin removal alone.

Being aware of toxins is especially important for women and men who plan to preserve and optimize fertility, and is a cornerstone in dealing with hormone imbalances and period irregularities.

While we can't eliminate ALL chemicals from our body, making better choices absolutely CAN reduce serum chemical levels.

Here's how to make better decisions for yourself and your family.

1. There is a 1600% increase in BPA concentrations 2 hours after consuming a drink from a can vs. a glass bottle (Bae and Hong, 2015). Reducing BPA is super tricky as it's everywhere.

✔️Reduce your exposure to BPA by avoiding plastic water bottles, metal drink cans, plastic food containers, and canned food.

2. Many antimicrobial formulas and deodorants contain Triclosan. This is associated with increased skin irritation, inflammation and has been linked to lowered fertility. (PMC6126357)

✔️Wash your hands with soap, water, and agitation. The stuff that says "Kills 99.9% viruses and bacteria" also kills your cells :P

3. Cosmetics and even luxury skincare are poorly regulated. Fragrances, Parabens, Phthalates, and Formaldehyde are commonly found in mainstream brands and have been documented to disrupt the hormone signaling system, affect the reproductive system and be cancer-causing.

✔️Read labels like a detective and find brands you trust!

4. Flame retardants are used in clothes, soft toys, furnishings. Links have been found to birth outcomes, neurodevelopment, thyroid issues, allergies, and effects on puberty.

✔️Wash new clothes and soft toys before use. Use organic untreated cotton where possible.

I hope this helps train your "eye" for clean products or using fewer products if at all!
